Windows Phone vs. MeeGo: Web Browser Test

What platform has a better web browser, Windows Phone or MeeGo?

MeeGo appears to have a slightly better web browser; the rendering is a couple of milliseconds faster, and the HTML5 processing power is well above Windows Phone. However, Windows Phone offers a much smoother interface, intuitive controls, and overall look of the UI. This only proves that there’s indeed not a clear winner between Windows Phone or MeeGo in terms of “better,” but just what platform is preferred by most users. I argue that Windows Phone is a much more complete ecosystem to compete with the rest, but MeeGo is pretty darn cool to have around as well. The nice thing is that Nokia is letting us decide what we can buy, and that is very admirable.

N950 is smooth too. you have to understand that the kinetic stop time is faster than wp. that’s how it was made.

I agree that the N950 is smooth, and it maybe it’s intended to scroll at that speed, but having both in hand… WP feels SMOOTHER (not that the N950 is not smooth)

I don’t think that the scrolling speed has anything to do with the overall performance of the browser. I think that the Harmattan browser has been configured to scroll at that speed.

Yeah, it doesn’t, after all, the N950’s browser appears to have more muscle… but the flow on wp is smoother and faster
