Yesterday when I got my hands on the Nokia 5800 Tube, first thing I wanted to change was the theme. The Nokia 5800 brings a dark theme that makes the screen look smaller and too dark, not very nice. I started to think about which theme could look nice in it and remembered that the Nokia N97 comes with a beautiful white theme in the pictures that were officially released by Nokia. After searching for a white theme a couple of minutes, I found the perfect theme for the Nokia 5800. This theme I found looks almost exactly as the theme the N97 has on the official pictures, and is completely free! It looks absolutely amazing and in my opinion makes the 5800 look better. The white theme desktop screen, however, did not look very nice; too simple and naked. So I went to PS and created a wallpaper, simple but good looking, with the two arrows of the Nokia Mobile Blog logo, which by the way mean ”Nm” in the font Windings 3. My 5800 is now looking very nice and I wanted to share the theme so your Nokia 5800 looks just like a N97, as far as the theme is concerned of course.
The bad part here is that the theme is not signed, but don’t worry it is very easy and just takes 1 minute, follow the steps below on how to sign symbian S60 applications
1. Download the file you want to sign to your PC, in this case download here the theme: nokia-n97-theme-for-5800
2. Get the application out of the .ZIP archive and put it in your desktop
3. Go here and follow the instructions (Symbian Signed) , you can get your IMEI by typing *#06# on the calling screen of your 5800 or in the box or back label.
4. After you followed the instructions and Symbian Signed returned the theme signed to you via email, just install. I advise you to erase the first unsigned file so you dont get confused, the wallpaper is in the .ZIP if you want to give it a try on your Nokia 5800.
