Skype Video Calls For Nokia Phones | Finally Possible!

Something that Nokia users have been waiting for a long time are Skype Video Calls. To be able to use the front camera on S60 devices to have a video call with someone using a PC, MAC or another S60 device. Today, this is actually possible!

Fring just released version 4.0 of their amazing native Skype client for Nokia devices. Currently, it is only available for: Nokia 5800, Nokia X6, Nokia N97 and N97 Mini, and non touch devices: N82, N95 and N95 8GB. This time, 4.0 supports Skype Video calls. This means you can video call someone just like you would on a PC! I already tried it and works very well. I am totally amazed by this new feature from Fring, is totally amazing to see this on a mobile phone.

Lets also remember that S60 devices are the first mobile devices to get this feature, and even though there is a Fring app for the iPhone, it does not have a second front camera.

To install Fring and start using video calls on your Nokia device head here: Fring. Although just a few devices are compatible, try the 4.0 Fring on your device and leave a comment if Video calling works with it!

    can you please explain to me why i can't make any video calls with fring or skype that i have installed on my nokia n97 and i'm connected wireless on my home network? i can't understand why it is not functioning?! just normal calls and chat but video calls no! please help me urgent! thanks

    I HAVE DOWNLOADED FRING ON MY NOKIA N95 AND I AM USING IT FOR SKYPE VEDIO CALLING FROM MY PHONE .IT IS WORKING VERY WELL & IS A VERY WELL.THE ONLY DRAWBACK IS THAT THE PICTURE IS NOT COMING ON FULL SCREEN ON NOKIA N95 WHICH IDONT LIKE.I ALSO WANT TO KNOW WHETHER FRING CAN BE DOWNLOADED ON SONY ERICSON XPERIA 10 ALSO FOR MAKING SKYPE VEDIO CALLS.KINDLY ADVISE ME ON MY EMAIL.THNKS

    I wish this would work in China. I think the application must be blocked. The same as Facebook and Youtube. This would be a cool application to have access too. Unfortunately I cant find a stand alone skype application for the N97
