Nokia Lumia 900 Price and Release Date, Some Speculation

For an unknown reason, Nokia did not provide an official release date and price for the recently announced Nokia Lumia 900. Whenever asked, Nokia reps, like robots, kept repeating “in the coming months.” Well, the “coming months” isn’t really telling us anything. It makes me feel uneasy that Nokia did not give at least a quarter in which the 900 would become available; it’s surprising they did it this way after the Lumia 800’s perfect announcement. However, we can speculate based on rumors. It’s interesting to see that practically every rumor about the Lumia 900 was true: everything from the size of the screen, to the size of the battery, and even the release date. In fact, the rumored release date of the Lumia 900 is very exact: March 18th of 2012. That is around 2 months after the announcement date, so it seems very reasonable. My question would be, why didn’t Nokia just reveal the date? About the price, that’s a little bit more complicated, but if I were to make an educated guess, I would have to say the limit will be $200 on a two year contract. Nokia has talked about aggressively pricing its products, so anything above $200, which is what AT&T asks for the iPhone 4S, would be out of the question. Hopefully we’ll have official information to share with you in the coming weeks…
