Engadget has received word from Orange in the UK about the massive number of pre-sales that the Lumia 800 has generated. To put it in perspective, the Nokia Lumia 800 received more pre-orders than the Nokia N95 and the Nokia 5800; two milestones in Nokia’s history. The Lumia 800 is available as of today in 8 European markets, including: France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK.
What does this mean? It’s a bit early to get conclusions out of this situation, but good news are good news. Nokia is slowly getting back and regaining the marketshare they once owned, when was the last time anyone heard Nokia sales were successful?
