Available methods to input text on touch screen devices are arguably less effective than the old physical keyboard. That is because so far, no company has found a more efficient method to input text on touch based smartphones other than the virtual keyboard. Nokia just invested in a small start up company called Swype. This small company has been pushing a new way to input text on touchscreen devices that takes advantage on the essence of a touchscreen: the ability to slide your fingers across the screen unlike with physical buttons. The video below is really impressive, it shows this new technology and how easy it is to use! I am really eager to see upcoming Nokia devices using Swype. Oh, that also means, that more capacitive touschcreens are coming from Nokia! Unless they are retarded and try to implement Swype on a resistive touchscreen.
