It has been a good year for Nokia in court. Last summer Apple and Nokia settled a dispute over infringed patents in which the California-based company would pay a large sum of money plus royalties per iPhone sold to Nokia. Now Seiko Epson and Nokia settled a dispute in which Epson, one of the largest imaging related equipment manufacturers in the world, will pay $80 Million USD for lawsuits filed in the US and UK. The lawsuit was filed by Nokia claiming violations of antitrust and competition laws. Epson will post an extraordinary loss for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2012.
