Download Spotify for your Nokia Lumia Windows Phone

Spotify is now available for Windows Phone! That means you can fire up the Marketplace in your Nokia Lumia 800 or 710, hit “Search,” lookup Spotify, and then finally install it! Or, you can use the mind-blowing automatic install by using WindowsPhone.com.

Spotify will give you access to millions of songs right from your Nokia Windows Phone. You have to be a Premium member to use Spotify on mobile devices; I am not (yet) a Spotify user, but I know many of you were really wanting this app to be available. Here are some features from Spotify:

  • Instant access to 15 million songs
  • Stream online on your Windows Phone
  • Listen offline
  • Share music with friends
  • Star favorite tracks
  • Create and sync playlists
  • Send the tracks you love to last.fm or Facebook

As you can see, more interesting apps are getting to Windows Phone as the platform gets more popular. Of course there are some that are missing, but I am sure they will eventually come as Windows Phone and Nokia continue to grow in popularity.

Does not work for me (Lumia 800) I keep getting a message that I can’t download, because my phone does not support it???
And how about QRDroid and other nice working apps? Why can’t I find them for this phone?

Spotify for Symbian was so much better. Where is forward/rewind in Windows Phone version? What has happened to Bluetooth support? Can’t skip/search songs with a car stereo button anymore. Many bugs, see list on Spotify’s discussion forum. I think Spotify’s Windows Phone software developers really need help. Nokia, please be kind, do something and don’t force us to switch to Android or iPhone.
